This lesson, from Illuminations, focuses on using Venn diagrams to explore direct, indirect, and transitive reasoning. Students work in groups to construct arguments based on Venn diagrams and create Venn diagrams for a particular argument. Several pieces of literature appropriate for use with this lesson are suggested.
