Description

In this lesson, one of a multi-part unit from Illuminations, students explore commutative properties, examine patterns when one factor is 6, and record known facts. In groups, students take turns rolling the dice and naming the product of the two numbers. They then write the resulting multiplication sentence on a piece of paper. Finally, students engage in several other multiplication activities, including finding multiplication patterns on a hundreds chart.
