Description
In this lesson, from ReadWriteThink, students practice summarizing, recognizing symbols, and writing reviews--all while writing for an authentic audience. As they create their book report bookmarks for their peers to review, the sense of audience makes a huge difference in the quality of the work that students do. In the process, students develop a better understandinng of and appreciation for grammar rules, accuracy, mood, and tone.
