Description

This lesson, from ReadWriteThink, uses traditional stories (i.e., narrative text) of native peoples of the northwest to introduce students to the study of animals in Alaska (i.e., expository text). Students compare and contrast the two types of text in terms of fiction and nonfiction. Several pieces of literature appropriate for use with this lesson are suggested.
