Description

In this Science NetLinks lesson, the first in a two-part series on classification, students learn that many kinds of living things can be sorted into groups in many ways using various features, and that classification schemes vary with purpose. Students begin the lesson by sorting buttons, then move on to a more complicated sorting exercise using animal cards. Students sort the cards multiple times using a variety of criteria.
