In this Webcast, from the Library of Congress, ethnomusicologist, scholar and performer Malkhaz Erkvanidze talks about collecting traditional sacred and secular music in the Republic of Georgia. The Anchiskhati Choir assists Erkvanidze with a performance of music that he has spent his life rescuing after suppression of religious music under Soviet communism. This resource can be used for content-area reading and interdisciplinary projects.
