Description

In this National Geographic News article, read about the Makuleke people, who were forced from their ancestral land by South Africa's minority government during apartheid. In 1988 they won back their land, which had become part of Kruger National Park, and decided to continue to preserve the land to gain income and jobs from ecotourism and park-approved hunting.
