Description

In this article, from the National Wildlife Federation Web site, author Cynthia Berger writes about Hawaii's weird, wacky insects and how they have evolved in splendid isolation. There are carnivorous caterpillars, flightless flies, a terrestrial water treader, underground tree crickets, and summit vampire bugs. Many of these unusual bugs are found nowhere else on earth. This resource also contains links to other NWF resources.
