Description

In this lesson, found on the New York Times Learning Network, students examine the vivid description one writer uses to bring an unusual place to life. They will then use this example as a model for their own descriptive writing, focusing on describing a place. Finally, students exchange their writings with each other and attempt to draw the places their peers have described.
