Description
In this lesson, from the New York Times Learning Network, students discuss the characterization of superheroes in this lesson plan, focusing first on the details of creating the character of Batman that are provided in Batman creator Bob Kane's obituary. Students then work in small groups to develop superheroes for the 1990s, and write stories or cartoons about their superhero's adventures on their own.
