This page, from the EDSITEment-reviewed Arctic Studies Center, is an exhibition produced by the National Museum of Natural History about an extraordinary people who set out from their European homelands for unknown places beyond the horizon, including North America, 1000 years ago. This is the sixth "room" of the exhibit and describes how the Viking expansion across the North Atlantic created new and vibrant cultures in the Faroes and Iceland.
