Description
In this lesson, from the New York Times Learning Network, students evaluate the effectiveness and fairness of proposed military tribunals designed to fight terrorism. They then compare American civil liberties, as stated in the U.S. Bill of Rights, with changes in these rights that may take place for some individuals living in the U.S. as a result of the U.S.A. Patriot Act.
