Description

In this lesson, the New York Times Learning Network, students explore the affects, both positive and negative, that television has had on society in the past half-century. Students learn about the origins of television and television-related inventions by reading and discussing the article "Inside the Soap Opera of Television's Early Days." In partners, students brainstorm either the positive or negative effects on society of specific television "events."
