Description
In this lesson, from the New York Times Learning Network, students read about the legacy of slavery and its manifestation in contemporary Brazilian land disputes. Students then learn about the face of slavery in different parts of the world and use the information to imagine what it would have been like to be a slave in a different time and place. Students then interview one another and write one another's stories.
