Description
This lesson, from the New York Times Learning Network, allows students to explore the notions of caring, giving, and providing service to others. Students research a specific charitable organization on the Internet, focusing on the organization's history, services, and importance in society. Students then develop an outline for a charitable organization that they would like to create and write a mission statement describing the organization's goals and functions.
