In this lesson, from the New York Times Learning Network, students explore wildlife conservation by investigating the reintroduction of species into their natural habitats and by researching a species that is near extinction. Students then defend the protection of the endangered species researched in class by creating an informational poster and by writing a position paper that explains the importance of preserving this species.
