This resource, found on the PBS Kids "Between the Lions" Web site, provides information and resources for the Cornerstones literacy program, an approach to literacy development designed for early elementary children who are deaf and hard of hearing (and that can be used with other students who learn well visually and struggle with literacy). Teaching units for three children's books are provided, along with learning objectives, a downloadable lesson guide, teaching and assessment strategies, printable resources, five versions of each story, and online games. This page includes a link to the "Between the Lions" home page, where additional literacy resources can be found, including teacher and parent resources, stories, games, printable activities, songs, and more.
