This resource, from the Practical Uses of Math and Science (PUMAS) project at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA, reviewed for grades 3-5 by Illuminations, features a discussion of geometry related to shadows. Students are asked to think about the changes shadows undergo throughout the day. These changes include shadow length, and darkness, which change depending on time of day.
