All students must learn how to read and create a
simple set of shop drawings before they begin on construction.
This lesson is a single class period that will cover all three
views (top view, end view, and side/elevation view). This drawing
will test students skill in measuring, accuracy, and the
ability to follow simple instruction.

After the drawing, I have my students make the sanding block to
help with detailing their work. That will be a separate lesson
involving hand tools and a drill press, plus more measuring and
layout.
