Description

Scanning is part of the designer's toolbox. It is one of many
ways of capturing and creating assets to include in electronic
documents such as web pages. Images-whether the are photographs,
original art, charts, diagrams or objects become part of the
overall message and tone of a web page.

This lesson will focus on web page planning, basic design, and
layout of uploading images to web pages created by the student.
Drawing material (colored paper, pencils, glue scissors) will be
available for students wishing to create original artwork to
upload.

The instructor will start with a demonstration of scanning.
Students produce an individual body of work; electronic files and
folders with original materials.

Students will produce a file folder with original images,
photocopies of images, or original artwork, scanned and saved as a
set of electronic image files, and an annotated document with all
images. These images will be used for current and future web design
projects.
