This resource, provided by the University of Virginia Valley of the Shadow Project, provides a manufacturing products list from 1860. The list contains the names of common kinds of businesses, raw materials, and products indexed from the 1860 Manufacturing Censuses of Augusta County, Virginia, and Franklin County, Pennsylvania. This resource is referenced in the EDSITEment lesson titled "Before Brother Fought Brother: People and Places in the North and South."
