Description

National Wildlife Federation's Backyard Wildlife Habitat program, established in 1973, helps people garden for wildlife. The program encourages everyone--homeowner, teacher, community leader--to plan their landscape with the needs of wildlife in mind, and gives them the tools they need to make it happen. At this Web site, users can find out more about the program, view the steps involved in creating a backyard wildlife habitat, access tips, and more. This resource is referenced in the Xpeditions lesson titled "Postcards from the Edge: Endangered Species." Less
