In this activity, from the WebQuests Web site, students search the Internet to find information about United States population statistics. The mathematical focus of this activity is on finding percents. Students are asked to find statistics about the population based on sex, race, births and deaths per year, number of households, and education levels. Finally, students are asked to summarize the information collected using graphs, charts, and/or any other visual aids. Use this link to access the Population WebQuest activity through the Illuminations resource review for grades 9-12. Less
