Description

In this audio clip, explorer Jon Bowermaster calls in the sixth report from his unpredictable, 800-mile kayak odyssey down the northern Vietnam coast. Bowermaster describes how his team left the South China Sea and enters Lang Co Lagoon. There they find the villagers extremely resourceful, using the lake to catch mollusks to make limestone fertilizer, setting nets for crabs, and casting nets for fish. Bowermaster reflects, after watching the villagers work all day, that "they are the hardest working people I have ever met."
