Description
This resource, part of the National Geographic Web site, defines the five themes of geography and suggests activities to teach them. The five themes were written in 1984 by the Joint Committee on Geographic Education of the National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE) and the Association of American Geographers (AAG). The five themes are location, place, human/environment interaction, movement, and regions. This resource is referenced in the Xpeditions lesson, "Geography Skills and Your Town."
