This is a detailed county map of the eastern half of the United States in 1860, showing place names and the railroads.

The Railroad Maps illustrate the growth of travel and settlement as well as the development of industry and agriculture in the United States. Included in the collection are progress report surveys, government surveys, promotional maps and route guides published by commercial firms.
