This resource is a mathematics project involving the area of classrooms, which incorporates measurement, graphing, computation, data analysis, and presentation of results. Students measure their own classroom and the other classrooms in their school, then compile and compute the data to find out if their classroom is larger or smaller than average. Four reproducible worksheets are included with this activity. This resource is referenced in the Illuminations lesson, "Exploration of a Balance."
