This page links to three collections of household objects found in Illinois homes during the second half of the twentieth century, with special emphasis on items from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The collections featured are part of the At Home in the Heartland Online project from the Illinois State Museum. At Home in the Heartland Online contains in-depth materials on family life in Illinois from 1700 to the present and has been designed as a classroom resource for teachers and students.
