Description

At this page from National Geographic Outpost's Congo Trek 360, hear an audio excerpt about gorillas and watch a video of a middle-aged female gorilla feeding just yards from explorer Michael Fay and his team. Fay hiked 1,200 miles (2,000 kilometers) through central Africa on a "Megatransect," compiling data, video, and photos of largely untouched but threatened wilderness in an effort to help understand and conserve the Congo Basin.
