Description
This lesson, from California State University, Chico, focuses on line, shape, and color, as well as the history of Native American culture. Students research Native American sand painting techniques and include at least one technique in their own sand paintings. Students create their own sand paintings on medium grade sand paper using a black crayon and two different colored pastel crayons.
