Description
This resource, from the Cut-the-Knot Web site, provides an investigation based on a calendar. Students use a monthly calendar java applet to discover some simple mathematics built into calendar tables. There is also a section on the history of the modern calendar. The site explains how everything in a calendar is based on properties of arithmetic progressions, and an additional calendar investigation that is tied to arithmetic progressions is provided.
