Description
This resource, from Cynthia Lanius of Rice University, features an online activity and follow-up questions dealing with fractions and geometry. Students experiment with pattern blocks to make different shapes, then determine the relationships among the shapes (i.e. How many triangles make up a parallelogram?). Finally, they express these relationships as fractions.
