Description

This is Rand, McNally & Co's official railroad map of the United States with portions of Canada, Mexico and the West Indies. This page is found on the EDSITEment-reviewed American Memory project's Map Collection Web site. The Railroad Maps illustrate the growth of travel and settlement as well as the development of industry and agriculture in the United States. Included in the collection are progress report surveys, government surveys, promotional maps and route guides published by commercial firms. These images were created from maps and atlases and, in general, are restricted to items that are not covered by copyright protection. The map can be downloaded for use in the classroom. Less
