Description
This is a map of 20th century Stratford-upon-Avon in England, famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Company; it feature's illustrations, literary references and Shakespeare's coat of arms. This map is a bird's eye view and is not drawn to scale. It is found on the American Memory Project's Map Collection website. The Cities and Towns section includes maps that depict individual buildings to panoramic views of large urban areas. These maps record the evolution of cities illustrating the development and nature of economic activities, educational and religious facilities, parks, street patterns and widths, and transportation systems.
