Description

Using this lesson, which has been reviewed for grades 9-12 by Illuminations, you can incorporate science (specifically weather) with reading graphs and problem solving. The activity actually uses an online posting of weekly plots of the temperature and humidity in Boulder, Colorado. While some of the later questions assume a higher level of mathematics than these students will have, the basic activities may be interesting to upper elementary students. The activity could serve as a very interesting way to involve students and help them to see mathematics in a real-world context. Less
