Description

This site comes from The Annenberg Media partnership which was created to improve K-12 education through the use of the Web and digital satellite technology. This on-line activity provides students with an interesting challenge: to try to figure out who should come next in a line of people, based on some combination of attributes (such as height, color of clothes, etc.). In addition to building their problem solving and reasoning abilities, students will be engaged in a study of patterns, an important underlying foundation for later study of algebra, and indeed for all of mathematics.
