Description
This resource, from Guenter Albrecht-Buehler of Northwestern University, features a collection of information on pentominoes, the flat shapes formed by five unit squares, which all touch along an edge. This resource contains the history of pentominoes, the patterns they create, and how they relate to the artist Escher, logic, and mathematics. Also included at this site are images of intricate wood mosaics based on pentominoes, and a DOS program that assembles 6x10 pentomino solutions manually.
