Description

In this lesson, students examine the arguments for and against the use of graphing calculators in mathematics classrooms and on standardized tests. Students analyze the debate through reading and discussing a New York Times article, participating in a round-table discussion, and seeking out opinions of people whom they know and incorporating their views into a brief newspaper article about the issues. This lesson is found on the New York Times Learning Network.
