Learning Strategic Thinking by Playing Chess
In this lesson, students share opinions about the goals and strategies of their favorite games. They then learn the basics of chess and try several tactics to test their strategic skills. The lesson culminates in written reflection papers that address how the skills learned in chess might be applied to daily life.(October 4, 2007)
