Description
The San Diego Natural History Museum website promotes understanding of the evolution and biodiversity of southern California and the peninsula of Baja California. Site materials include information on current and past museum exhibits, summer camps, classes, and field trips, news articles, and event announcements. The field guides page inlcudes guides to animals, minerals and fossils; checklists of plants, animals, and insects; a frequently-asked-questions feature; and guides to outdoor explorations of local wildlife and ecological preserves. There is also information on the museums' research programs, on paleontological mitigation of fossil sites that may be destroyed by development, and information for members and visitors. Less
