MERLOT, the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching,is a resource for higher education centered around a collection of peer-reviewed online learning materials cataloged by registered members. The collection is browseable by topic (arts, education, mathematics and statistics, science and technology, social sciences, and others) and is searchable by keyword. Each resource includes a metadata description with a link to the item, author, description, review, comments, links to personal collections, and assignments that use the resource. Users can also create personal collections of resources used for specific topics and write and submit assignments to accompany specific resources.
