Description
This project aims to help students learn difficult science concepts by encouraging them to think as scientists do about cause and effect. Research shows that students have difficulty with certain kinds of causal understandings: mechanism, pattern, co-variation of causes and effects, and agency. The web site feature modules on density, ecosystems, air pressure, and electrical circuits; each module identifies difficulties students tend to have with that topic and offers resources to address those difficulties. Other materials include background information on the project and a set of links to other helpful sites. Less
