Description
This reference tool allows students to identify a coniferous tree species by making a series of guided decisions about shape, size, and arrangement of its needles. Ideally, the specimens will be twigs that include the tree's reproductive cone or fruit. The key, which includes only species that are native to the U.S., can be printed and distributed as a handout.
