Description
Based at the AMNH, the Amphibian Species of the World Database has been a work-in-progress since 1980. The online catalog is designed to provide needed information for research and conservation needs and to help illuminate where geographical data or taxonomic information are woefully inadequate. Students can use it browse taxon records or to search for amphibians by English name, country or U.S. state, keyword, and other fields.
