Description

In this ReadWriteThink lesson, students explore adjectives by learning words in related groups or webs as opposed to lists. They use a webbing strategy to develop lists of adjectives and their synonyms. Students' vocabulary is expanded and their writing is enriched when they are encouraged to use a variety of adjectives so that readers can "see, taste, and feel" what they write. Several pieces of literature appropriate for use with this lesson are suggested.
