Professional Development on the integration of The Comic Experience with VAPA dance discipline
Purpose: Module 6 will guide teachers on how to implement creative movement into regular classroom instruction. Teachers will be supported through lesson plans that offer interactive strategies that will get students out of their chairs and into creativity as they form sculpturs and draw the contour edges. Online videos will focus on standards based activities for the K-3, 4-8, and 9-12 grade classrooms. Students will be engaged, teachers will be surprised and the “cant’s” of “I can’t draw a villain” will turn into “can we do it again?” Lesson plans will provide teachers with step by step, standards based integration lessons.
