Great uses of technology! // Emy Lopez Phillips

This site provides some great examples on how to integrate social media into the curriculum. My favorite is the idea about creating Facebook pages for literary characters. The teacher then creates a FB page on behalf of the story and then add those characters as "friends." From there, the teacher provides writing prompts and encourages discussion among the "characters." I think this is a great activity that students would find engaging and would promote lots of discussion.
