Description
This lesson is designed for entry level basic terminology for
pigs, goats, sheep, horses, poultry, and beef. In order for
students to understand all of the above animals external anatomy,
it is imperative that they know the basic terminology of the
animals. The included activity entitled "Animal Signs" is a very
fun game that they will LOVE to play. Knowing the proper terms will
help students be able to quickly refer to the species while
increasing their knowledge in Animal Science. This lesson should
lead into the internal parts of all the animals as well as the uses
of each of these animals. You can also lead into discussing which
animals the students might be able to take to the fair as an SAE
project. This should also serve as a foundation lesson for learning
the external anatomy of the above animals.
