The Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Advanced Collaboratory (HASTAC) is a consortium of humanists, artists, scientists, social scientists, and engineers from universities across the country, committed to new forms of cross-collaboration in order to promote creative uses of technology. It is a network of networks, located at the intersection of technology, engineering, and computing on one hand, and the humanities, arts and social sciences on the other. The HASTAC web site features information on the consortium's projects, including tools for multimedia archiving and social interaction, gaming environments for teaching, educational programs in information science and information studies, virtual museums, and many others.
