Description
Professional Resources in Science and Mathematics (PRISM) is a program that helps school districts improve science and mathematics teaching. PRISM staff work with district administrators to design professional-development programs that are strong in content and standards-based teaching. The organization provides curricula, lesson design, inquiry-based and problem-solving approaches, planning programs, videoconferencing, and other services. The PRISM web site features an overview of the program, information on partnerships, and the "Rainforest Connection," a set of curriculum materials on the biology and ecology of tropical forests. There is also information on upcoming videoconferences, workshops, and a newsletter archive. Less
